Where is Jordan wine from?

Answered by Nicholas Phillips

The Alexander Valley AVA is renowned for its ideal grape-growing conditions, including warm days and cool nights, which allow the grapes to ripen slowly and develop complex flavors. The region is also known for its diverse soil types, which contribute to the unique characteristics of the wines produced here.

During my visit, I had the opportunity to speak with the winemakers at Jordan and learn about their winemaking process. They take great pride in producing wines that are elegant, balanced, and representative of the terroir of the Alexander Valley.

In addition to their Cabernet Sauvignon, Jordan also produces a Russian River Valley Chardonnay. This is made from Chardonnay grapes grown in the cool-climate region of the Russian River Valley. The wine displays vibrant fruit flavors, balanced acidity, and a creamy texture.

One of the things that sets Jordan apart is their commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. They have implemented numerous sustainable practices in their vineyards and winery, including conservation, habitat preservation, and solar power generation. This dedication to sustainability not only helps protect the land for future generations but also contributes to the overall quality of their wines.
