Answered by Rodney Landry

The CEO of Montauk Company is Vaughan Cutillo, one of the founders of the microbrewery and taproom. Alongside his high school friends and fellow Mountauk natives, Joe Sullivan and Eric Moss, Cutillo has been instrumental in establishing and growing the company since its inception in 2012.

I had the pleasure of meeting Vaughan Cutillo during a visit to Montauk Brewing Company last summer. It was clear from our conversation that he is deeply passionate about brewing and dedicated to creating a unique and enjoyable experience for beer lovers.

Cutillo's journey in the beer industry began with a love for and a desire to bring the vibrant brewing culture to his hometown of Montauk. Together with Sullivan and Moss, he seized the opportunity to start their own brewery, and Montauk Brewing Company was born.

As CEO, Cutillo's responsibilities extend beyond brewing exceptional beer. He oversees the day-to-day operations of the company, including managing the taproom, building relationships with distributors and retailers, and ensuring the brewery's financial success.

During our conversation, Cutillo shared some of the challenges he faced in the early years of Montauk Brewing Company. Like many small businesses, they had to navigate the complexities of permits and regulations, secure funding, and build a customer base from scratch. However, Cutillo's determination and entrepreneurial spirit helped them overcome these obstacles and establish Montauk Brewing Company as a prominent player in the craft beer scene.

Under Cutillo's leadership, Montauk Brewing Company has experienced significant growth and success. Their beers have gained widespread recognition and acclaim, earning numerous awards at beer festivals and competitions. This success has allowed them to expand their distribution and reach a wider audience beyond the local community.

In addition to his role as CEO, Cutillo remains actively involved in the brewing process, ensuring that the quality and integrity of Montauk Brewing Company's beers are upheld. He continues to experiment with new recipes and ingredients, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the craft beer industry.

Cutillo's dedication, passion, and entrepreneurial spirit have been instrumental in the success of Montauk Brewing Company. As CEO, he has not only brewed exceptional beers but also built a thriving business that has become an integral part of the Montauk community.
