Joullian Vineyards, located in Carmel Valley, is currently owned by Hamm Lerum and her husband Tom. They acquired the vineyard last summer, embarking on a new chapter in the winery's history. It is worth noting that Joullian Vineyards was originally founded almost 35 years ago by Ed Joullian and Richard L., two families from Oklahoma City.
When my partner and I visited Joullian Vineyards last year, we were immediately captivated by the beauty of the property. The rolling hills covered with lush vineyards and the charming tasting room created a welcoming ambiance. Little did we know that we would eventually become the proud owners of this remarkable winery.
Our journey to ownership began with a shared passion for wine and a desire to immerse ourselves in the world of winemaking. We had always dreamed of owning a vineyard, and when the opportunity to acquire Joullian Vineyards presented itself, we knew it was meant to be.
The previous owners, Ed Joullian and Richard L., had done an exceptional job of establishing the vineyard and building a reputation for producing high-quality wines. We were fortunate to inherit their legacy and are committed to maintaining the vineyard's standards of excellence.
Since taking ownership, we have been actively involved in every aspect of the vineyard operations. From tending to the vines and overseeing the winemaking process to managing the tasting room and interacting with visitors, we are fully immersed in the day-to-day activities of running a winery.
