Milk & Honey Distillery, Israel’s first whisky distillery, is owned by Gal Kalkshtein. Gal Kalkshtein, along with Amit Dror, Simon Fried, and Roee and Naama Licht, established the distillery in 2012. I had the privilege of visiting Milk & Honey Distillery during my trip to Israel, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience.

When I first arrived at the distillery, I was immediately struck by the passion and dedication of the owners. Gal Kalkshtein, the main owner, greeted us warmly and shared his story of how the distillery came to be. He explained that he had always been fascinated by whisky and had a dream of creating world-class whisky in Israel. With the support of his partners, he turned this dream into a reality.

Gal Kalkshtein’s background in business and entrepreneurship provided him with the necessary skills to establish and run a successful distillery. His attention to detail and commitment to quality are evident in every aspect of the distillery’s operations. From the selection of the finest ingredients to the meticulous distillation process, Gal ensures that Milk & Honey whisky is crafted to perfection.

Amit Dror, another owner of the distillery, brings his expertise in the field of distilling to the table. With years of experience in the industry, he has honed his skills and knowledge to create unique and exceptional whiskies. His understanding of the science behind distillation and the art of blending allows Milk & Honey to produce a diverse range of whisky expressions.

Simon Fried, Roee Licht, and Naama Licht, the remaining owners, contribute their expertise in marketing and branding. During my visit, I had the opportunity to meet and chat with the owners. Their passion for whisky and their dedication to creating a world-class product were evident in every conversation. They shared their vision for the future of Milk & Honey, including plans for expanding their production capacity and introducing new whisky expressions.
