Senses Wines is owned by three childhood friends from Occidental – Christopher Strieter, Max Thieriot, and Myles Lawrence-Briggs. These three individuals share a deep passion for winemaking and have turned their dream into a reality with the establishment of Senses Wines in 2011.
Christopher Strieter, one of the owners, comes from a family with a long history in vineyard farming. He grew up surrounded by the vineyards of B.A. Thieriot, which has been in his family for generations. This upbringing instilled in him a love for the land and a desire to create exceptional wines.
Max Thieriot, another owner, also hails from a family with a rich winemaking heritage. The Thieriot family owns the Hillcrest vineyard, which has been meticulously cared for over the years. Max grew up working in the vineyard alongside his family, gaining invaluable knowledge and experience in the process.
Myles Lawrence-Briggs, the third owner, brings his expertise as a sommelier and brewer to the table. His extensive knowledge of wine and brewing techniques adds a unique perspective to the winemaking process at Senses Wines.
Together, these three friends combined their shared love for wine, their deep connection to the land, and their individual skills to create Senses Wines. They are dedicated to crafting wines that reflect the unique terroir of their vineyards and showcase the best of Sonoma County.
