BAD SONS, the name of our brewery, is actually an acronym that represents the true grit towns that make up “The Valley” – the place where we were born and raised. Each letter in BAD SONS stands for a town that holds a special significance to us.
“B” stands for Beacon Falls, a small yet vibrant town known for its scenic beauty and tight-knit community. Growing up in Beacon Falls, we witnessed the strong sense of camaraderie and support that exists among its residents.
“A” represents Ansonia, a historic town with a rich industrial heritage. Ansonia has always been a place of hard work and determination, traits that we strive to embody in our brewing process.
“D” symbolizes Derby, a town steeped in history and resilience. Derby has faced its fair share of challenges, but its residents have always come together to overcome adversity. We draw inspiration from their strength and perseverance.
“S” represents Seymour, a town known for its strong sense of community and pride. Seymour has a rich history in manufacturing and a deep love for its local sports teams. We aim to embody that same sense of community and passion in our brewery.
“O” stands for Oxford, a town surrounded by natural beauty and a strong agricultural tradition. Oxford's commitment to preserving its rural character and embracing sustainable practices aligns with our own values as brewers.
