Apart from Chardonnay, there are other white grape varietals that produce excellent and expensive wines. Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough region in New Zealand, Riesling from the Mosel region in Germany, and Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley in France are just a few examples.
