Our History. It's been quite a journey since we first started brewing beer back in 2006. We began in the humblest of places, co-founder Martin's mum's garage. It was there that the dream of BrewDog was born, and we set out to create something unique and special in the world of craft beer.
Since those early days, we have come a long way. Today, we have not just one, but four breweries spread across the globe. Each brewery is a testament to our commitment to quality and innovation in brewing.
Our first brewery, located in Ellon, Scotland, is where it all began. This is where we brew our flagship beers, like Punk IPA and Dead Pony Pale Ale. It's a place that holds a special significance for us, as it embodies the spirit of our early days and the passion that drives us to this day.
But we didn't stop there. In 2015, we opened our second brewery in Columbus, Ohio, USA. This was a significant milestone for us, as it marked our entry into the American craft beer scene. This brewery allows us to brew our beers closer to our American fans, ensuring that they get the freshest and highest quality beer possible.
In 2017, we expanded further with the opening of our third brewery in Berlin, Germany. This was an exciting move for us, as it allowed us to tap into the rich brewing traditions of Germany while still infusing our own unique style and flavor. This brewery has become a hub of creativity and experimentation, where we continue to push the boundaries of what beer can be.
Most recently, in 2020, we opened our fourth brewery in Brisbane, Australia. This was a significant step for us, as it marked our expansion into the Asia-Pacific region. This brewery allows us to bring our bold and innovative beers to a whole new audience, while also supporting the local craft beer scene.
In addition to our breweries, we also have over 100 bars worldwide, where beer lovers can come together to enjoy our brews in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. These bars are an essential part of our story, as they allow us to connect directly with our fans and share our passion for great beer.
The journey from Martin's mum's garage to four breweries and over 100 bars worldwide has been nothing short of incredible.
