In addition to the Yadkin Valley and Swan Creek AVAs, there are three other AVAs in North Carolina: the Haw River Valley, the Upper Hiwassee Highlands, and the Appalachian High Country. Each of these regions has its own unique characteristics and microclimates, which contribute to the diverse range of wines produced in the state.
When visiting North Carolina wineries, you can expect to find a wide range of tasting experiences. Some wineries offer guided tours and tastings, where you can learn about the winemaking process and sample a variety of wines.
