Catoctin Creek is owned by Scott and Becky Harris, a husband and wife team who founded the distillery in 2009. They are passionate about producing high-quality craft spirits and have worked hard to build Catoctin Creek into the successful brand it is today.
I had the pleasure of visiting Catoctin Creek last year and getting to meet Scott and Becky in person. They were incredibly welcoming and passionate about their craft. As we toured the distillery, they shared with us their story of how they started the business and their dedication to using local ingredients and traditional methods.
Scott and Becky have always been committed to producing spirits that are true to their roots. They source their grains from local farms in Virginia, supporting the local agricultural community and ensuring the highest quality ingredients for their products. They also use traditional production methods, including mashing and fermenting their grains on-site and distilling in small batches using copper pot stills.
One thing that really stood out to me during my visit was the attention to detail that Scott and Becky put into every aspect of the distillery.
