Costa Tequila is owned by our founder Stephen (Steve) Gavula III. Steve's journey with tequila began with a passion for adventure and a deep love for the spirit. In 2016, he made his first trip to Jalisco, Mexico, the birthplace of tequila.
During his visits to Jalisco, Steve immersed himself in the world of tequila, visiting agave fields and touring distilleries. It was during this time that he developed a deep relationship with Master Distiller Ingeniero Agustin Sanchez and his team. This relationship eventually led to the creation of Costa Tequila.
Steve's dedication to creating a premium tequila is evident in every aspect of Costa Tequila. From carefully selecting the finest blue agave plants to using traditional production methods, Steve is involved in every step of the tequila-making process.
