Missing Mountain Brewing Company is owned by four individuals who share a passion for homebrewing and a dream of turning their hobby into a thriving business. The founders of the brewery are Dave Bertolotti, Keith McFarlane, Danny Yagersz, and Dan Kephart.
Our journey as brewers began in 2008 when we started homebrewing together. We quickly realized that we had a knack for creating delicious and unique beers, and our passion for brewing grew with each batch. Over the years, we honed our skills and experimented with different ingredients and techniques, constantly striving to improve our craft.
As our love for brewing continued to grow, so did our ambitions. We began to dream of opening our own brewery, a place where we could share our passion for beer with others. We wanted to create a space where people could come together, relax, and enjoy high-quality, handcrafted beers.
With this vision in mind, we decided to take the leap and turn our dream into a reality. We knew that starting a brewery would be no easy task, but we were determined to make it happen. We spent countless hours researching and planning, learning about the logistics of running a brewery and the steps involved in bringing our beers to a larger audience.
One of the biggest challenges we faced was scaling up from our small homebrew setup to a commercial-quality system. We invested in a 1 barrel brewhouse, which allowed us to produce larger quantities of beer while maintaining our commitment to quality and craftsmanship. It was a steep learning curve, but we embraced the challenge and worked tirelessly to perfect our recipes and brewing processes.
In addition to the technical aspects of brewing, we also had to navigate the business side of things. We secured funding, obtained necessary permits and licenses, and developed a business plan to guide us forward. We knew that owning a brewery would require not only a passion for brewing but also a strong understanding of the industry and a dedication to running a successful business.
Today, Missing Mountain Brewing Company is the culmination of our hard work and dedication. We are proud to call ourselves brewery owners and to share our passion for beer with our community. Our brewery is a place where people can gather, enjoy a pint, and experience the flavors and creativity that we put into every batch of beer.
