Sagamore Spirits is distilled in the city of Baltimore, Maryland. Our distillery is located on Baltimore's waterfront, and we take great pride in being part of this vibrant and historic city. Since April 2017, we have been distilling and aging our proprietary straight rye whiskey right here in Maryland.
When we chose Baltimore as the home for our distillery, we were drawn to the rich history and culture of the city. Baltimore has a long-standing tradition of whiskey production, and we wanted to contribute to that legacy. Being located on the waterfront also allows us to take advantage of the unique microclimate and water source, which plays a crucial role in the distillation process.
Distilling in Baltimore also gives us the opportunity to engage with the local community and support local businesses. We believe in the importance of building strong relationships with our neighbors, and being part of the Baltimore community is something that we hold dear.
Our commitment to distilling in Baltimore goes beyond just the location. We source the majority of our rye from local farms in Maryland. This allows us to support local agriculture and maintain a close connection to the land where our whiskey originates. We believe that by using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, we can create a truly exceptional product that reflects the character of Baltimore and Maryland.
In addition to distilling our whiskey in Baltimore, we also have a visitor center at our distillery. This allows us to welcome guests and share our passion for whiskey with them. Visitors can take tours of the distillery, learn about the whiskey-making process, and even taste our spirits. It's a wonderful way for us to connect with whiskey enthusiasts and showcase the craftsmanship that goes into every bottle of Sagamore Spirits.
