Is Pinhook Bourbon Distilled by MGP?

No, Pinhook Bourbon is not sourced from Midwest Grain Products (MGP) of Indiana. Prior to 2017, Pinhook exclusively sourced its distillate from MGP, however, as of 2017 operations have been housed in Castle & Key distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. At the new location all of Pinhook's bourbons and whiskeys are now produced on site and aged, blended and bottled at the distillery. This means that altough Pinhook was formerly produced with MGP sourced whiskey and bourbon, it is no longer the case.

Pinhook whiskey is distilled at Castle & Key Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky. The distillery was founded by the team of Lisa Wicker and Hunter Chavanne in 2017, with the help of master distiller Marianne Eaves and the original Buffalo Trace Master Distiller, John J. Thompson. Pinhook's barrels are aged, blended and bottled at Castle & Key, and sice 2017 Pinhook has been distilling its own proprietary mashbills of bourbon and rye there as well.
