During our visit to Yellowstone, we had the opportunity to go on a distillery tour and witness the art and science behind the production of spirits. Our journey took us to numerous distilleries, from the rolling hills of Scotland to the rugged landscapes of Kentucky. We learned about the different grains, fermentation processes, and aging techniques, all of which contribute to the unique flavors and profiles of various spirits.
It was during this exploration that we discovered the Horse Soldier Distillery, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of America. Located in St. Petersburg, Florida, this distillery was founded by a group of U.S. Special Forces soldiers who were instrumental in the overthrow of the Taliban in Afghanistan following the 9/11 attacks.
These brave soldiers, known as the Horse Soldiers, transitioned from their military careers to become passionate distillers, channeling their dedication and discipline into crafting exceptional spirits. Their commitment to excellence and their unwavering pursuit of perfection resonated deeply with us, and we knew we had found something special.
