Where is Lone Tree cider made?

Answered by Bill Hernandez

Lone Tree is made in the beautiful region of Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. This region is known for its stunning landscapes, abundant orchards, and vibrant agricultural industry. It is here that we were introduced to 3rd generation family orchardists who have been growing apples for decades.

When we first visited the orchard in Kelowna, we were immediately struck by the dedication and passion of the family. They took great pride in their orchard and the quality of the apples they produced. They shared with us their knowledge of apple varieties, growing techniques, and their commitment to sustainable farming practices.

It was during this visit that we learned about the rich history of apple growing in the region and the cooperative of over 500 grower families that work together to support each other and promote the local agricultural industry. This cooperative is a tight-knit community where knowledge and experience are shared, and where the love for the land and the fruit it produces is evident.

Inspired by this community and their commitment to quality, we decided to partner with this family and the cooperative to create Lone Tree cider. Our goal was to showcase the incredible apples grown in the region and to create a cider that was a true reflection of the unique terroir of Kelowna.

To achieve this, we work closely with the orchardists and the cooperative to carefully select the apple varieties that go into our ciders. We believe that the best ciders start with the best apples, so we prioritize using locally sourced, hand-picked apples that are grown using sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.

Once the apples are harvested, they are brought to our cidery in Kelowna, where our team of experienced cider makers work their magic. We use traditional cider making techniques combined with innovations to ensure that each batch of Lone Tree cider is of the highest quality.

From pressing the apples to fermenting the , every step of the cider making process is done with great care and attention to detail. We believe that cider making is an art form, and we strive to create ciders that are balanced, flavorful, and true to the natural characteristics of the apples.

After fermentation, the cider is aged to develop its unique flavors and then carefully bottled and packaged. We take great pride in our packaging, as we believe that the presentation of our ciders should reflect the same level of quality and craftsmanship that goes into making them.

So, to answer the question of where Lone Tree cider is made, it is made in the heart of Kelowna, British Columbia, surrounded by the stunning orchards and the passionate community of growers who have dedicated their lives to producing exceptional apples. It is this commitment to quality and the love for our craft that sets Lone Tree cider apart and makes it a truly special .
