Where is Stone Cellars wine from?

Answered by James Smith

Stone Cellars is sourced from our family-owned vineyards that are located throughout California. We have carefully selected regions that offer the ideal growing conditions for each varietal, allowing us to deliver on the commitment of true varietal expression in every bottle.

One of our vineyards is located in the renowned Napa Valley, known for its exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon. The warm days and cool nights in this region create the perfect balance for the grapes, resulting in wines that are rich in flavor and structure. I have personally had the pleasure of visiting this vineyard and witnessing the meticulous care that goes into every vine. The attention to detail, from pruning to harvesting, is truly remarkable.

Another vineyard we have is situated in the beautiful Sonoma County, which is known for its diverse microclimates and terroirs. This allows us to produce a range of varietals, from Chardonnay to Pinot Noir. The cool, foggy mornings and warm afternoons in this region contribute to the vibrant acidity and complexity found in our wines. I remember visiting this vineyard during harvest season and being surrounded by the intoxicating aroma of ripening grapes. It was a surreal experience that made me appreciate the artistry of winemaking even more.

In addition to Napa Valley and Sonoma County, we also have vineyards in other prime winegrowing regions of California, such as Paso Robles and Santa Barbara County. These regions offer their own unique characteristics and microclimates, allowing us to cultivate varietals like Zinfandel and Syrah. I recall tasting a Zinfandel from our Paso Robles vineyard and being blown away by its bold, jammy flavors and peppery finish. It was a true representation of the region's terroir and the skill of our winemakers.

Our Stone Cellars wines are a product of the diverse and exceptional vineyard sites throughout California. We take pride in sourcing grapes from these regions and crafting wines that showcase the best of each varietal. Whether it's a rich and elegant Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley or a vibrant and aromatic Chardonnay from Sonoma County, our wines embody the essence of their origins and the passion of our family-owned vineyards.
