The current owners of Atwater winery are Matt Russo and George Nosis. They took over the winery from Ted in December 2020, after Matt had been searching for the right winery project for the past eleven years. It's an exciting new chapter for Atwater, and I am personally thrilled to see what Matt and George will bring to the table.
Matt Russo, the new owner of Atwater, has been making wine for thirteen years. His experience and passion for winemaking make him the perfect fit for this venture. I've had the pleasure of tasting some of Matt's wines in the past, and I can attest to his skill and talent in crafting exceptional wines. His attention to detail and commitment to quality are evident in every bottle.
George Nosis, the other owner of Atwater, brings his expertise as well. While I don't have personal experience with George's work, I have heard great things about his contributions to the wine industry. It's always exciting to see new faces in the wine world, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives.
I believe that with Matt and George at the helm, Atwater winery is in good hands. They have a deep understanding of the craft and a genuine love for wine. I have no doubt that they will continue to produce outstanding wines that showcase the unique terroir of the Finger Lakes region.
It's worth noting that ownership changes in wineries are not uncommon. In fact, many wineries have seen multiple owners throughout their history. Each new owner brings their own vision and style to the winery, contributing to its evolution and growth.
In the case of Atwater, the transition from Ted to Matt and George represents a new era for the winery. It's an opportunity for fresh ideas and perspectives to take the winery to new heights. I'm excited to follow their journey and see how they shape the future of Atwater winery.
The ownership of Atwater winery has now passed on to Matt Russo and George Nosis. Their passion for winemaking and dedication to quality make them an excellent fit for this prestigious winery. I look forward to tasting their wines and seeing the exciting developments they will bring to Atwater.
