Prior to the acquisition, Tullamore D.E.W. was produced under contract by Irish Distillers at the Midleton Distillery. This arrangement allowed Tullamore D.E.W. to maintain its production while benefiting from the expertise and resources of Irish Distillers. The whiskey produced at the Midleton Distillery is known for its exceptional quality and craftsmanship, and Tullamore D.E.W. was no exception.
With the change in ownership, it was interesting to see how the production of Tullamore D.E.W. would be affected. Would it continue to be produced at the Midleton Distillery, or would there be a shift in production facilities? As a consumer, I was eager to see if there would be any noticeable changes in the taste and character of the whiskey.
