Wilderness Trail Rye is a premium quality rye whiskey produced by the Wilderness Trail Distillery in Danville, Kentucky. The company was founded in 2012 by Shane Baker and Patrick Martin, who are passionate about producing high-quality spirits.
The Wilderness Trail Rye is made from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. The rye is sourced from nearby Maysville, Kentucky and is then double distilled in copper pot stills. The whiskey is aged for two years in new, charred American oak barrels before being bottled at 100 proof.
The result is a deliciously smooth and complex rye whiskey with notes of baking spice, vanilla, and oak. It's the perfect sipping whiskey neat or on the rocks, and also makes an excellent addition to any classic cocktail.
