Southern Tier Brewery is currently part of the Artisanal Brewing Ventures holding company, which it joined forces with on February 16, 2016. This partnership was formed when Southern Tier allied with another well-respected brewery, Victory Brewing Company. This collaboration allowed both breweries to combine their expertise, resources, and passion for craft beer to create a stronger and more diverse portfolio of beers.
Personally, I find the concept of breweries joining forces to be fascinating. It not only allows for the sharing of knowledge and skills between brewers, but it also provides opportunities for growth and expansion. In the case of Southern Tier Brewery, their partnership with Victory Brewing Company has allowed them to establish a satellite brewpub in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The opening of this brewpub in January 2017 was a significant milestone for Southern Tier. It provided them with a physical presence in a new market and allowed them to showcase their wide range of beers to a larger audience. With thirty different beers on tap, the brewpub offers beer enthusiasts the opportunity to try a variety of Southern Tier's offerings, from their classic favorites to limited edition and experimental brews.
As a sommelier and brewer, I appreciate the diversity of beers that Southern Tier offers. They have crafted a wide range of styles, from hop-forward IPAs to rich and decadent stouts. Each beer tells a unique story and showcases the creativity and skill of the brewers behind it. This is something that I believe sets them apart and makes them a standout brewery in the craft beer industry.
Being part of the Artisanal Brewing Ventures holding company also provides Southern Tier with additional resources and support. This allows them to continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible in brewing and to explore new and exciting flavors and techniques. I have personally tried many of Southern Tier's beers, and I am always impressed by their quality and craftsmanship.
