What wineries does Terlato own?

The addition of Klipsun Vineyard to the Terlato Wine Group portfolio is truly exciting. Klipsun Vineyard, located in Washington State's Red Mountain AVA, has earned a stellar reputation for producing exceptional wines. Its unique terroir, characterized by warm days and cool nights, along with the well-drained sandy soils, imparts distinct flavors and complexity to the grapes grown there. The vineyard's focus on sustainable farming practices further enhances the quality and character of the wines it produces.

Personally, I have had the pleasure of tasting wines from several of Terlato's vineyard holdings, including Chimney Rock and Rutherford Hill in Napa. These wines consistently showcase the craftsmanship and dedication to quality that Terlato is known for. Each sip tells a story of the vineyard's unique characteristics, the winemaker's expertise, and the love and passion poured into every bottle.

Chimney Rock, located in the renowned Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, is known for its elegant and age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines from this vineyard exhibit a beautiful balance of ripe fruit flavors, well-integrated tannins, and a sense of place that reflects the region's distinctive terroir.

Similarly, Rutherford Hill's Estate Vineyard, situated in the heart of Napa Valley's Rutherford AVA, is renowned for its exceptional Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines from this vineyard display rich, ripe fruit flavors, velvety textures, and a characteristic elegance that is synonymous with the region.

In addition to these Napa Valley vineyards, Terlato also owns Mee Lane Vineyard in Napa, which produces exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and Pope Valley Vineyard, known for its old-vine Zinfandel and other red varietals. These vineyards further diversify Terlato's portfolio and showcase the breadth of their winemaking expertise.

Venturing beyond California, Terlato's portfolio also includes Sanford & Benedict Vineyard and La Rinconada Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA of Santa Barbara County. Sanford & Benedict Vineyard, one of the oldest vineyards in the region, produces outstanding Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, while La Rinconada Vineyard specializes in cool-climate varietals, such as Pinot Noir and Syrah, which thrive in the region's maritime-influenced climate.

Terlato Wine Group owns an impressive collection of vineyard holdings, including Klipsun Vineyard, Chimney Rock, Mee Lane, Pope Valley, and the Estate Vineyard at Rutherford Hill in Napa, as well as Sanford & Benedict and La Rinconada in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA. Each vineyard brings its own unique terroir, contributing to the diverse range of exceptional wines produced by Terlato. As a sommelier and brewer, I am continually impressed by the quality and consistency of Terlato's wines, and I eagerly look forward to exploring their future releases and discovering more hidden gems within their portfolio.
