Mamitas is from the Dominican Republic. Our family’s journey to the United States is what brought us to this country and sparked the creation of Mamitas ices. We brought with us the flavors and techniques of our homeland, and with just a few simple ingredients, a single pan, and a freezer, we began crafting delicious ices right from our kitchen.
The Dominican Republic is known for its vibrant and diverse culinary scene, and we wanted to showcase the flavors that we grew up with. Our family has always had a passion for food and creating something special, and that passion is what drove us to start making ices. We wanted to bring a taste of our culture to the people around us and share the flavors that we love.

We decided to take a leap of faith and turn our passion into a business. We started selling our ices at local farmers markets and events, and the response was overwhelming. The decision to come to the United States was not an easy one for our family. Leaving behind our home and everything we knew was a difficult choice, but we knew that there were opportunities here that we couldn’t pass up. We wanted to provide a better life for our children and give them the chance to pursue their dreams.
Starting Mamitas has been a journey filled with ups and downs, but it has also been incredibly rewarding. We have been able to share a piece of our culture with the people around us, and seeing the joy on their faces when they taste our ices is truly gratifying. We are proud to represent the Dominican Republic and showcase the flavors that make our country so unique.
Today, Mamitas has grown beyond our wildest dreams. We have expanded our operations, partnering with local businesses and even opening our own storefront. However, no matter how much we grow, we will always stay true to our roots and the flavors that started it all. Mamitas will forever be a taste of the Dominican Republic, brought to you with love and passion.
