When was Tuckaway Tavern built?

Answered by Amado Berg

The Tuckaway Tavern was built a few months after the Butchery, on June 21st, 2012. It was an exciting time for us as we embarked on this new venture, with a focus on providing high quality food and exceptional customer service. The Tavern was designed to be the perfect platform for showcasing the amazing products from the Butchery, and we were thrilled to have Chef Bobby Marcotte leading the way in the kitchen.

I remember the early days of the Tavern, when we were still putting the finishing touches on the interior. It was a labor of love, with attention to every detail. The atmosphere we aimed to create was warm and inviting, a place where people could come together to enjoy great food and drink.

As an expert sommelier and brewer, I was particularly excited about the program at the Tavern. We carefully curated a selection of wines and beers to complement the menu, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes. I have always believed that a good meal is enhanced by the perfect pairing, and I took great pride in helping our guests find the right drink to accompany their meal.

One of the things that set the Tavern apart was our commitment to using the highest quality ingredients. The Butchery provided us with a constant supply of fresh, locally sourced meats, which we showcased in our menu. From perfectly cooked steaks to hearty burgers, every dish was crafted with care and attention to detail.

The Tavern quickly became a popular spot in the community, and we were grateful for the support we received from our guests. It was always a pleasure to see familiar faces returning to enjoy another meal with us, and we took great pride in creating a welcoming environment for everyone who walked through our doors.

Over the years, the Tavern has continued to evolve and grow. We have expanded our menu to include a wider range of dishes, incorporating seasonal ingredients and creative flavors. We have also introduced new events and promotions, such as themed tasting menus and pairing dinners, to keep things fresh and exciting for our guests.

Looking back on the journey of the Tuckaway Tavern, I feel a sense of pride and gratitude. It has been a privilege to be part of a team that is so passionate about what they do, and to see the Tavern become a beloved destination for food and drink enthusiasts. We are constantly striving to raise the bar and provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests, and I am excited to see what the future holds for the Tuckaway Tavern.
