The production of Tequila Adictivo takes place in El Arenal Jalisco, which is known as the gateway to the blue region of tequila. This region is renowned for its ideal climate and soil conditions that are perfect for cultivating blue agave, the key ingredient in tequila.
To create Tequila Adictivo, only the finest blue agave plants are selected. These plants are grown in the region's rich volcanic soil, which imparts unique flavors and characteristics to the tequila. The agave plants are carefully harvested, with the mature piñas (agave hearts) being hand-selected for their optimal sugar content and flavor profile.
After harvesting, the piñas are roasted in traditional brick ovens to break down the complex sugars into fermentable sugars. This roasting process also imparts a distinct smoky flavor to the tequila. Once roasted, the piñas are crushed to extract the sweet juice, which is then fermented using natural yeast.
