Cisco Brewers, located on the beautiful island of Nantucket, Massachusetts, holds a special place in my heart. As both a sommelier and a brewer, I have had the pleasure of experiencing the wonderful offerings of this unique establishment. Founded in 1992 by Randy and Wendy Hudson, Cisco Brewers has become a beloved destination for beer, wine, and spirits enthusiasts.
In 2018, Craft Brew Alliance, a leading craft brewing company, acquired Cisco Brewers. This was an exciting development for the brewery, as it allowed them to expand their reach and continue producing their exceptional beverages. Craft Brew Alliance has a strong reputation in the industry, and I have always been impressed with the quality of their products.
More recently, Cisco Brewers became part of the AB InBev family in 2020. AB InBev is a global brewing company and one of the largest beer producers in the world. While some may have concerns about the impact of such a large acquisition on a smaller, independent brewery, I believe that Cisco Brewers has remained true to its roots and maintained its commitment to crafting exceptional beverages.
Having visited Cisco Brewers numerous times, I can attest to the fact that the quality and creativity of their offerings have not wavered. Their beers are consistently delicious, with a wide range of styles to suit every palate. From hop-forward IPAs to smooth and malty stouts, Cisco Brewers has something for everyone.
One of my favorite experiences at Cisco Brewers was their wine tasting. in addition to beer and spirits, Cisco also produces wine. They have a small vineyard on the island where they grow grapes and craft their own unique wines. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their wines, which showcased the same attention to detail and commitment to excellence that I had come to expect from their other offerings.
In addition to their beer and wine, Cisco Brewers also produces a variety of spirits. Their distillery produces vodka, gin, and whiskey, each with its own distinct character and flavor profile. I had the opportunity to try their small-batch gin, and it was truly exceptional. The botanicals were expertly balanced, resulting in a gin that was both complex and smooth.
The ownership of Cisco Brewers has evolved over the years, but their dedication to producing high-quality beverages has remained constant. Whether you're a beer lover, a wine connoisseur, or a spirits enthusiast, Cisco Brewers has something to offer. I highly recommend visiting their brewery on Nantucket and experiencing firsthand the passion and craftsmanship that goes into every sip.
