North Brewery is owned by John Gyngell and Christian Townsley. These two individuals have been at the helm of the brewery since its founding in 1997. I have had the pleasure of meeting them both and they are truly passionate about beer and creating unique and exciting brews.
I first came across North Brewery when I visited their flagship bar, North Bar, in Leeds. The bar itself is a testament to their dedication to quality beer. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a vast selection of beers on tap from both North Brewery and other renowned breweries. The bar staff are incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to recommend a beer based on your preferences.
It was during one of my visits to North Bar that I had the opportunity to chat with John and Christian. They exuded a genuine love for beer and a desire to push the boundaries of what is possible in brewing.
