Tequila
Tequila is a distilled spirit made from the blue agave plant, which is native to Mexico. The name tequila comes from the town of Tequila, located in the Mexican state of Jalisco. Tequila is produced in two basic styles: mixto and 100% agave. Mixto tequila is made with at least 51% sugar-cane derived alcohol, while 100% agave tequila must be made from only blue agave plants.
Whether you prefer mixto or 100%, Tequila is a versatile liquor that is enjoyed in everything from classic cocktails to experimental concoctions. Rich in flavor and complex in character, tequila makes a great addition to any cocktail menu.
