Hi-Wire Brewing started its journey in the summer of 2013, when we opened our 2,700 sq. ft. South Slope Brewery in the heart of Asheville's vibrant South Slope Brewery District. This area is known for its concentration of craft breweries and has become a hub for beer enthusiasts and connoisseurs.
When we first started, our brewery was relatively small compared to some of the other established players in the industry. But what we lacked in size, we made up for in passion and dedication to creating exceptional craft beer. We wanted to offer something unique and special to the growing beer scene in Asheville.
The journey of Hi-Wire Brewing began with a dream and a vision. We wanted to create a space where people could come together to enjoy great beer, connect with friends, and experience the vibrant energy of the craft beer community. Our goal was to brew beers that would excite and delight our customers, and we were excited to be a part of the thriving craft beer culture in Asheville.
Asheville, known as Beer City USA, was the perfect place for us to start our brewing adventure. The city is home to a vibrant community of beer lovers and has a rich brewing history. It's a place where people appreciate and celebrate the art of craft beer, and we wanted to be a part of that tradition.
Our South Slope Brewery quickly became a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. We offered a variety of beers, ranging from classic styles to unique and experimental brews. We focused on quality and craftsmanship, using the finest ingredients and traditional brewing techniques to create beers that were both approachable and innovative.
One of the things that set us apart from other breweries in the area was our commitment to sustainability. We made it a priority to minimize our environmental impact by implementing practices such as water conservation, waste reduction, and energy efficiency. We believed that brewing great beer should not come at the expense of the planet, and we took pride in our efforts to be responsible stewards of the environment.
Over the years, we have expanded our operations and opened additional locations, including a second brewery and taproom in the Biltmore Village neighborhood of Asheville, as well as a taproom and production facility in Durham, North Carolina. These expansions have allowed us to reach a wider audience and share our passion for craft beer with even more people.
Looking back on our journey, it's incredible to see how far we've come. From our humble beginnings in the South Slope Brewery, we have grown into a well-respected and beloved brewery in the Asheville community and beyond. We are grateful for the support of our loyal customers and the opportunity to be a part of the incredible craft beer scene in Asheville.
