Where is Taxman beer made?

Answered by Christopher Steppe

Taxman is proudly made in Bargersville, Indiana. This small town is located in Johnson County, just south of Indianapolis. It's a charming and picturesque place, with a rich history and a close-knit community. Being a local myself, I feel a deep connection to this area and take pride in the fact that Taxman beer is brewed right here in our own backyard.

The brewhouse itself is a sight to behold. It's a 20 barrel system, which means we can brew up to 20 of beer per batch. For those unfamiliar with terminology, a barrel is equal to 31 gallons or about 330 standard 12-ounce beers. So, you can imagine the scale of production that can be achieved with a 20 barrel brewhouse.

Taxman's annual production is limited to 6,000 barrels. This deliberate choice allows us to focus on quality over quantity. We believe in brewing beer that is crafted with care and attention to detail, rather than mass-producing it for the of volume. By setting this limit, we are able to maintain the integrity of our beers and ensure that each one is brewed to perfection.

One of the things that sets Taxman apart is our dedication to offering a wide range of seasonal and limited release offerings. This means that throughout the year, you can expect to find a variety of different beers on our tap list. From refreshing summer ales to rich and robust winter stouts, we strive to provide something for everyone's taste preferences.

I remember a particularly memorable experience I had at Taxman's taproom last year. It was the release day for their highly anticipated Belgian Tripel, and the excitement in the air was palpable. People lined up outside the doors, eagerly waiting for their chance to taste this limited edition brew. As I stood in line, I struck up a conversation with a fellow beer enthusiast who had traveled from out of state just for this release. We shared stories of our favorite Taxman beers and eagerly anticipated the moment when we would finally get to savor that first sip of the Tripel. It was a testament to the passion and dedication that Taxman inspires in its fans.

So, if you ever find yourself in Bargersville, Indiana, I highly recommend stopping by Taxman's brewhouse and taproom. Not only will you get to witness firsthand the craftsmanship that goes into every batch of beer, but you'll also get to experience the warm and welcoming atmosphere of this small town. And of course, you'll have the opportunity to taste some truly exceptional beers that are made with love and care right here in Bargersville.
