Fortunately, in 1993, Burn Stewart Distillers stepped in and saved the Ledaig distillery from permanent closure. Burn Stewart Distillers, a Scottish independent whisky company, recognized the potential of Ledaig whisky and decided to invest in its revival.
Under Burn Stewart Distillers' ownership, the Ledaig distillery was refurbished and brought back to life. The company focused on producing single malt whisky under the Ledaig brand, which gained popularity among whisky enthusiasts around the world.
Today, Ledaig whisky is known for its distinctive smoky and peaty character, which sets it apart from other whiskies produced in the region. The distillery continues to operate under the ownership of Burn Stewart Distillers, ensuring the legacy of Ledaig whisky lives on.
